From June 20-28, BFC is sending a team to Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic, to work alongside Nazarene missionaries Scott and Emily Armstrong.

For the last few years, the Armstrongs have been training students in their home who are preparing for ministry. The numbers of men and women being called to ministry has grown so they greatly need a Centre of Missionary Formation to train people who are called to ministry.

Ann Loper, BFC’s NMI President, felt God’s call for BFC to send a team to come alongside the Armstrongs in the summer of 2019 and asked Carl and Anna Hamilton to lead the team. BFC will be the 12th team of 17 to finish this important building.

As men and women are being trained for ministry at the Center of Missionary Formation, it will impact all of Mesoamerican region. Already 81% of the population of this island nation are urbanized, so men and women will be trained in the best way to reach those in urban areas.

Here is a message from the Armstrongs, “The BFC team will be working on the Centre, attending local church services, and having a day of urban ministries for themselves. We are excited to meet those who God will call to serve with us this June!"

Applications are available online or at the church office. The registration deadline to join this team is Monday, February 25.
